Tailgating at Harvard Athletic Events
In an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all fans and spectators, Harvard Athletics, in cooperation with the Harvard University Police Department has established the following policies regarding tailgating within the Soldier Field Athletic Complex. Harvard University is a great place to tailgate; however, rules are strictly enforced!

Guests who park within the athletic complex (gates 8, 14, 16 and 20) are welcome to tailgate at their vehicles. Tailgating, however, is not permitted for fans parking in the Harvard Business School parking lot.

All parking gates open two hours prior to kickoff for tailgating.

Each vehicle is permitted one parking space and the area directly behind the vehicle for tailgating. You may not block aisles or other vehicles from parking.

Commercial vehicles (U-hauls), RV's, Winnebagos and trucks are not permitted in any parking facility. Corporate sampling, give-a-way, and promotional vehicles MUST have prior written permission by Harvard Athletic Marketing to enter any parking lot. Tailgating is limited to two hours before and one hour after each game. There will be no tailgating after night games.

Beer kegs and items that promote the rapid consumption of alcohol are not permitted at any University athletic function or event. No individual or group may transport a keg to a University athletic event.

Grills using charcoal are prohibited within the athletic complex. The maximum propane gas cylinder size allowed will be 20 pounds.

All persons, bags, and personal items are subject to inspection before entering Harvard Stadium. No backpacks of any type will be admitted. No bag or item larger than 12” x 12”x 12” will be permitted inside the stadium.
